Hinge for Fire Proof Door is CE certified

The door leaf should be hung on single-axis hinges in accordance with local and national regulations when used in a fire-resisting door assembly. Hinges on fire-resisting doors need to meet the required fire rating and also allow the door closing device to reliably close the door leaf from any angle, even when a latch or seals are fitted. 

Installing appropriate hinged doors on the escape route is highly important, based on the knowledge gained from constructing escape and general safety. During a fire or other emergency, it can aid individuals inside the building to evacuate swiftly and effortlessly. In emergency travel, all doors on the escape route should be opened in the direction they are meant to go. 

Additionally, when escape route doors are included in the final exit of a building, there will be extra safety requirements to protect the doors from intrusion and burglary. In this scenario, it is necessary for the hinges to have a design that prevents them from being removed or separated while the door is closed. This ensures that the building and its contents are adequately protected from unauthorized entry. 

If the escape door is included in the fire compartment of the building, there will be additional requirements to ensure that the installed hinge does not impact the fire performance. 

The hinge used on fire-resisting doors must have a CE Mark to BS EN 1935 and must have proven its suitability for the intended purpose through inclusion in a satisfactory fire test to BS EN 1634-1 or BS EN 1634-2, using a specific type of door assembly and configuration that it will be used on. This evidence should be provided by a certification or testing body that has been approved by a third party.
