This lever trim is used in conjunction with panic push bar, mainly used to protect emergency exits, shipping and receiving doors, security doors, internal access doors, etc. It has been widely used in airports with emergency exits, public transportation systems, banks, securities, command centers, hospitals, supermarkets, commercial offices, hotels, large shopping malls, municipal buildings, and governmental agencies.
There are different types of exit devices: rim, vertical and mortise.
The exit device consists of a spring-loaded metal rod fixed to the inside of the outer door.
Exit doors can be single or double doors, fire-resistant or non-combustible. The type of door determines the type of panic bar. For example, UL Listed single-leaf doors shall use UL Listed edge panic bars.
