Emergency exit lock is also called emergency lock. It is mainly used in large supermarkets, shopping malls, office buildings, hospitals, schools, factories and other public facilities where a large number of people are at the emergency exit door, and can prevent unauthorized persons from entering and ensure the safe evacuation of personnel in case of fire and other emergencies.
There are different types of exit devices: rim, vertical and mortise.
The exit device consists of a spring-loaded metal rod fixed to the inside of the outer door.
Exit doors can be single or double doors, fire-resistant or non-combustible. The type of door determines the type of panic bar. For example, UL Listed single-leaf doors shall use UL Listed edge panic bars.
